About

A one-person studio building small, durable things.

Build few things, build them carefully, and keep them running for the long haul.

I run Tahonest. The first app — Sổ Nhà — I built for my own family first: one shared, transparent spending book so that by month's end nobody has to remember who covered what. Only once it genuinely helped did I open it up to other households.

Commitments

  • No ads, no investorsSo there is no incentive to sell your data. Any revenue would be a one-time Pro plan, stated up front.
  • Few things, done wellA handful of small apps that run well for a decade beats a pile of half-finished ones.
  • Private by defaultNo bank linking, no reading your messages, no unnecessary permissions. Delete your account and data anytime.
  • Transparent where possibleSignificant changes are logged publicly on the Blog. Policies are written in plain language, not for lawyers.

What I’m working on

Right now I’m focused on Sổ Nhà — in closed testing on Google Play, with an iOS build in the works. See the Sổ Nhà page or the studio blog.
